How to Add New Homepage Content Block

Step 1: Log in to the Magento 2 Admin Panel

Start by logging into your Magento 2 backend, usually at yoursite.com/admin.

Step 2: Create a New Block

1. Navigate to Content > Elements > Blocks from the admin sidebar.
2. Click on the Add New Block button.
3. Enter a Block Title for internal reference.
4. Assign a unique Identifier to your block (this is used to reference the block in your layout or templates).
5. Set Status to Enabled.
6. In the Content area, use the editor to add text, images, or HTML. You can add your affiliate links here, formatted as you like.
7. Once your content is added, click on Save to keep the changes.

Step 3: Add the Block to the Homepage

1. Navigate to Content > Elements > Pages.
2. Search for your homepage, which is typically titled “Home page” or something similar, and click on Edit in the Action column.
3. Under the Content heading, click on Insert Widget.
4. From the Widget Type dropdown, select CMS Static Block.
5. Then, in the Block dropdown, select the block you created earlier.
6. Click on Insert Widget to add the CMS Block widget into the page content.
7. You might want to arrange where on the homepage you want your new block to appear. You can do this within the Content area using the WYSIWYG editor.

Step 4: Clear Cache

1. After making changes, go to System > Cache Management.
2. Flush Magento Cache by selecting Flush Magento Cache and Flush Cache Storage.
